Job Description

Ignite Future Education is a Richmond based private education providerfocuses on provide high quality training programs for all ages of people. Now, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Positive Discipline Parent Educator, who will provide parents instructional program in positive discipline. The wage offered is $40 per hour, and an overtime rate of $60 per hour, 30-40 hours per week, plus 4% vacation pay or 10 days' vacation per year.

As aPositive Discipline Parent Educator, you will be responsible for the following job duties:

• Teach parents how to use kind and firm discipline at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive) in research-based, practical methods and approaches
• Help parents to go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children
• Plan and implement educational activities and events, such as group discussion, independent and group projects
• Develop methods to evaluate students’ teaching outcomes
• Develop curriculum, prepare teaching materials and create lesson plans
• Maintain a neat and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, and common spaces
• Collaborate with our team co-workers to deliver a high-quality program
• Organize and plan class activities and group discussions

Employment Requirements:

• Completion in a bachelor’s degree, college diploma or demonstrated expertise in the field of instruction is required
• Minimum of two year of relevant work experience
• In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and educational procedures
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
