Job Description

Established in 2001, Geodetic Surveys & Engineering Ltd. has been in the Edmonton community for nearly two decades. We are a team of hardworking and dedicated individuals, with an office located just minutes outside of the City center. We specialize in legal residential surveys, more specifically Real Property Reports and Boundary Surveys.

For expanding our business and promoting our brands, we are currently looking to hire a Civil Engineering Technician responsible for the following:

• provide technical support and services to scientists, engineers, and other professionals, or may work independently in fields such as structural engineering, municipal engineering, construction design, and supervision, etc
• Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
• Participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations
• Preparation of civil/structural construction drawings, sections, and details;
• Coordination of work with other disciplines; ·
• Interpreting design sketches and details; ·
• Following design standards and guidelines, and; ·
• Assist in site inspections, condition assessments, reporting, specifications, and proposals.

The highlight of Qualification:

• Completion of a one- or two-year college program in civil engineering technology 
• At least two years of working experience in the Civil Engineering Technician Area
• Excellent English communication skills in writing and speaking, the ability to other languages is an asset
• Good time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are assets
• Strong work ethic and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated, energetic, and responsible

• Hour of Work: 30 hours per week
