Gunson Guiding & Outfitters is located in Liard River, 495 Alaska Highway, V0C1Z0, British Columbia, and also operates a second wilderness camp in Northern Saskatchewan. The nearest town is Carrot River.

Job Description:
Gunson Guiding & Outfitters’ guide territory is located in the vicinity of the Liard River, British Columbia. We are looking for a Camp Manager who can efficiently assist in managing the operations of our camps.

Main Duties Include:
- Plan itinerary for trip or expedition and arrange transportation or transport individuals or group to site.
- Assemble and inspect necessary equipment and supplies, such as camping gear, rafts, life jackets, and food.
- Lead or escort individuals or groups and advise on safety and emergency measures, techniques and the use of equipment.
- Provide instruction for activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, rafting and mountain climbing.
- Advise on specific laws and regulations for activities such as hunting, fishing and boating.
- Follow environmental guidelines and prevent violations.
- May prepare meals for group and set up camp.
- Managing camp inventories of food and supplies, for clients, other staff, and horses.
- Managing and mentoring junior staff in all the above.
- Experience with the field dressing and care of wild game harvested in a manner consistent with provincial law.
- Field judging wildlife.

Employment Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a wilderness hunting guide
- Experience with horses required (packing riding & managing clients in extreme wilderness situations).
- Experience working with and maintaining mechanical equipment such as ATV’s and outboard motors preferred
- Detailed knowledge of hunting techniques and experience guiding hunters for the game species found in Northern British Columbia and Saskatcheawn preferred
- Qualified and passed the BC Assistance Guide License or ability to pass upon hiring
- CPR certificate is preferred, but not required
