Job Title: Plumber

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Number of positions: 1

Job Type: Permanent; Full-Time

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Work locations: Various locations in Greater Vancouver, Lower Mainland (BC) and/or as per company’s

contracts with its clients

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Tight deadline

Your job role

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
• Test plumbing system performance and makes changes as needed to achieve proper working order
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
• Determining the type of plumbing and drainage systems need to be designed
• Communicate with co-workers and other tradesmen.

Education, Skills & Experience required

• Completion of Secondary School.
• Completion of relevant apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of experience.
• Trade certification in plumbing would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Sound judgement, analysis & problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
