Japanese and Thai Restaurant

Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent

Vacancy: 1

Salary: $36 per hour for 35 - 40 hours per week

Experience: 5 years or more

Education: College

Location: 131 King Street, St Catharines, ON

Job Duties

• Preparing and cooking Japanese and Thai meals and dishes listed on the menu
• Collaborating with the chefs to review the menu regularly and make recommendations for new items and ingredients
• Determining cost of food and size of food portion, and monitoring the inventory of food
• Checking and monitoring the quality of cooked products
• Overseeing kitchen operations and helpers and instructing
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Ensuring that food are met quality control standards
• Estimating ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
• Having knowledge of the culinary genres
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen and work area and keeping hygiene and safety practices
