Job Description

Sunrise Freight Systems Inc., located at 11 Sloan Drive, Caledon, Ontario L7C 2B8 is looking for a Truck Driver- Flatbed for a permanent full-time position.

Main Duties of theTruck Driver- Flatbed (NOC 73300):

• Safely operate, drive long-combination vehicle to transport goods and material, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories to ensure safety and compliance
• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Secure loads using chains, and straps properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Communicate any delays due to road conditions, accidents or breakdown with dispatchers using on-board communication devices
• Logging hours and distances driven, rest stop durations, fuel consumption, repair and toll expenses
• Performing service checks on tire pressure, oil, and fluids levels as well as minor repairs when required

• Obtain necessary documentation, permits to transport goods

• Interact with customers in a professional manner and address their complaints and concerns with Dispatch Supervisor.

Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School is required 

Valid AZ Class License

Flatbed or related field experience will be an asset

On-the-job training is provided

Wage:

$36.04/ hour, 40 hours/week
