Currently, the company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Carpenter to join its expanding team.

Number of positions: 2

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $29.00 per hour

Work location(s): Various locations in Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and Greater Vancouver (BC) and/or as per company’s contracts

Job duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Precisely measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Finish surface of woodwork in houses and other buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Supervise other construction workers in the team.

Position Requirements

• Completion of high school.
• Completion of three- to four-year apprenticeship program orminimum 3 years of relevant work experience in trade.

• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• The ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Cooperation and a positive attitude.
