Salary: $29.00 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Various Locations in Lower Mainland (BC) and/or as per company contracts.

Job duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Finish surface of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Operate power as well as hand tools.
• Supervise other construction workers.

Position Requirements

• Completion of high School
• Relevant education or at least 3 years of work experience in a similar field
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability and willingness to work independently with limited supervision

Note:

• The company will give a $500 referral bonus to any current J Singh Construction Ltd. employees who successfully refer a candidate for employment.
• For qualifying candidates, relocation assistance up to $1000.00 would be given for moving from other provinces or areas.
