Location: Moosonee, Ontario
Report To: General Manager
Employment: Part-Time, Full-Time (Minimum 20 hours per week)
Job Description: Are you passionate about food and hoping to work in an exciting professional kitchen? We are looking for a skilled and committed individual to join our culinary team on a full time or part-time basis. You will be responsible for preparing the menu items, cooking food in accordance with company standards, and providing general kitchen support. Previous experience in a professional kitchen is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing food accordingly.
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order.
- Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients.
- Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns.
- Setting up the work station.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in using different cooking tools, equipment and utensils.
- Understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Able to withstand long hours of standing, bending and moving around.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics to make correct measurements of ingredients.
- Ability to follow recipe instructions.
- Have the ability to adhere to health laws and regulations.
- Read, write, listen, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to comply with all safe work practices and policies.
- Candidate must be located in Moosonee.
- Preference will be given to qualified members of the Moose Cree First Nation.
Salary: 18$/hr
