Job Description

Target Transport Ltd” based at 12573 108th Ave Surrey, British Columbia with 70 years of on the road, day-to-day transportation and logistics experience is in the urgent need of Fifteen (15) Full-time, permanent Long Haul truck drivers (NOC 7411/7511) to join their company as soon as possible.

Wages: $27/hour, 50 hours per week + 4% vacation pay will be paid on each schedule pay cheque.

Requirements:

• Completion of High school is required.
• No experience required, will train.
• Basic Knowledge of English language is required.
• Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A)or Equivalent, or eligible to obtain the same., Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.

Job Location: Various locations across Canada & USA with business based on 12573 108th Ave Surrey, British Columbia

Job Duties:                                                                       

• The ability to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,
• Loading and unloading of goods, tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo,
• Plan travel schedules and routes,
• May need to perform emergency roadside repairs
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher,
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy,
• Pay and receive payments for goods,
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel all across Canada and the United States. Willing to travel by day/evening/night including travel on overnight routes, willing to travel for extended periods of time.
