Number of positions: 15
Terms of employment: Full-time - Permanent; Year- round work 
Wages: $15.65 per hour 
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities

• Plant annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees from plugs, bulbs, bare-root stock, and/or liners. Unpack the stock prior to planting.
• Prepare soil for potting and repotting. Spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil with wheelbarrows or carts and shovels.
• Put plants on carts and wagons, then in organized blocks on benches or hangers in greenhouses.
• Assist with propagation as required, including taking cuttings and insertion of plugs or cuttings into liners. 
• Loading and unloading plants for delivery to customers.
• Prepare orders for shipping, grading, packing, stacking, and wrapping plants. 
• Thinning and pruning ornamentals. 
• Plant, weed, cut, thin, shape, and fertilize shrubs with gardening tools.
• Maintain nursery equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
• Keep the work areas clean and in good condition.
• Clean leaves, debris, and spent blooms from potted plants before shipping.

Job Requirements

• No education and language requirements.
• No experience required; we will train.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment which may be physically demanding.
• Ability to work in various work environments e.g., wet, damp, dust and cold.
