Position Description
Position: Carpenter Helper
Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent
No of positions: 3
Anticipated Start date: as soon as possible
Work Location: Various Locations throughout in Lower Mainland & Greater Vancouver region in BC as per company’s contracts with its clients.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $26.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist carpenters and help them in moving equipment and, provide assistance in other activities.
• Load and unload wooden materials and move materials to work areas.
• Trim joints, fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit as required.
• Sand wooden surfaces and polish/strain finished products.
• Assist with measure and cut of wood, wood substitute, light steel and other material.
• Assist in repair of cabinets and kitchens in residences and other commercial establishments.
• Clean and prepare surfaces.
• Perform other activities as directed.
Job Requirements
• No experience required. We will train.
• Some work experience as a construction labourer would be an asset.
• Functional English is required.
• Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
• Requires lifting, pulling and carrying of heavy equipment and objects.
Note: Candidates who qualify will receive relocation assistance up to $1000.00. The company will pay $500.00 CAD as a referral incentive to any current employee who refers a candidate, and the company hires them.
