Kidscool Early Learning Centre

Kidscool provides a fun and secure environment with a focus on early years education. In Putting the Child First, we value the qualities and strengths that make the child an individual. Currently, we are looking for ECE Assistants to join us.

Position: ECE Assistant

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hourly Wage: $20.00- $21.00 (Depends on qualification and work experience)

Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Position Available: 2

Working Location: 1116 Como Lake Ave, Coquitlam, V3J 3N8

Job Description:

• Interact directly with the children to provide quality care including story telling, songs and crafts
• Assist with the planning and support the implementation of a consistent child-centred program
• Establish and maintain positive daily communication with families and staffs
• Maintain a neat and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, common spaces, and washrooms
• Prepare written records on children to the Early Childhood Educators and supervisor
• Assist children in potty training and develop good eating and dressing habits
• Perform cooking duties including snacks and lunch
• Arrange room for snack and nap time
• Ensure that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained
• Attend Kidscool Training, and Staff meetings as scheduled
• Collaborate with our team to deliver a high-quality program

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required
• A valid ECEA Certificate is required
• 1 month to 7 months experience in child care is required
• Completion of an Early Childhood Education Assistant certificate program or post-secondary courses in early childhood education may be required
• A clear criminal record check is required
• Medical exam is required
• Working knowledge of English is required to working with children, co-workers and families
• Able to work in a team; punctual and reliable
