Wage: $29.50 per hour

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Location:  512 Curlew Drive, Kelowna BC, V1W 4K9

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: College or University Degree

Experience: 2-3 years of experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail

Personal Suitability: Organized, Reliability, Team player, Client focus, Excellent written communication, Excellent oral communication, Effective interpersonal skills

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Electronic mail, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel

Specific Skills:

• Identify current and prospective staffing requirements,
• Prepare and post notices and advertisements,
• Collect and screen applicants,
• Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment,
• Review candidate inventories,
• Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews,
• Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates,
• Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers,
• Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures,
• Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures,
• Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process,
• Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training,
• Provide information or services such as employee assistance, counselling and recognition programs,
• Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties
