Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and serve a range of dishes, including Dutch cuisine specialties like pannekoek and hash browns.
• Make sure that food preparation and service are consistent and of high quality.
• Assist the kitchen staff in developing their culinary skills by mentoring and training them.
• Promote teamwork by always maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
• Keep a close eye on the kitchen and service staff, especially during busy hours, so that efficient operations can be ensured.
• Work with specialized cooking equipment, including ovens and grills, to prepare and cook food.
• Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are adhered to, including food handling and storage procedures.
• Ensure that the workspace is clean and well organized and that food safety standards are met.
• Estimate the cost and quantity of food required.
• Keep a close eye on supply orders to ensure that there is always enough stock available.
• Keep an eye on the inventory in the kitchen on a regular basis.
• Participate in innovative menu planning and stay updated on Dutch cuisine trends.
• Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Assist with hiring processes for kitchen staff and take part in the recruitment process.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School.
• 2-3 years of cooking experience in a similar environment or completion of education in cooking/culinary.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
