Location: North York, ON M2N 6S6

Salary: $ 52.25 hourly / 35 hours per Week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex and critical software components, including architecture design and implementation.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and technical expertise to the team.
  • Solve challenging technical problems and design creative solutions that drive business innovation.
  • Optimize software performance, ensuring high speed and scalability, especially for large-scale applications.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect software systems and data from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
  • Participate in system architecture planning, ensuring software aligns with long-term company goals and scalability needs.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain high-quality codebases.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends, and apply them to enhance existing systems or develop new solutions.
  • Take on project management responsibilities, overseeing timelines, and budgets, and ensuring successful project deliveries.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, provide technical consultation, and ensure client satisfaction.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically required. 
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in progressively more responsible roles, demonstrating technical leadership and expertise.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages, tools, and frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in specific areas such as software architecture, machine learning, cybersecurity, or cloud computing.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and design innovative solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and mentor teams.
  • Effective English communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies through self-learning or additional courses and certifications.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, often demonstrated through technical interviews or coding challenges.
  • A strong professional network can be an asset, especially for senior roles where industry connections and reputation can play a significant role.
