Job Description
Job position: Maintenance person - building
Job duties:
- Sanitize bathrooms and fixtures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Sweep, mop, and polish hallways, floors, and stairs thoroughly.
- Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety.
- Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to eliminate debris and dirt efficiently.
- Clean windows, interior walls, and ceilings for a spotless environment.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment and procure necessary items accordingly.
- Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and coordinate with specialists for major issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like painting and repairing drywall.
- Coordinate with contractors for establishment repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct regular safety and security inspections and address minor issues promptly.
- Assist in the relocation of heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
- 1 year to less than 2 years experience required.
- Work locations will be hotel, motel, resort.
- Requires the ability to read, write, communication in English or french.
- Employment conditions may be Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, To be determined, Weekend
