Job Description

Job Duties:
1. Warehouse Management:
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct safety training sessions for warehouse personnel.
- Assign daily tasks and stations to warehouse staff.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including booking and processing shipments.
- Operate a forklift to move and organize products within the warehouse.
- Perform regular cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized warehouse.
- Address and solve problems that arise during daily operations.
- Manage packaging for online orders.


2. Product Management:
- Monitor and restock inventory as needed.
- Research and identify trending products in the market.
- Introduce new product lines to the inventory.
- Set pricing strategies for various sectors (retail, wholesale, institution, custom, export).
- Process orders and restock products accordingly.


3. Office Management:
- Respond to emails and inquiries promptly.
- Greet and assist walk-in customers.
- Conduct in-store and online/phone sales transactions.
- Organize paperwork related to orders and transactions.
- Call back customers to update them on order status.
- Generate and send invoices for customer orders.
- Coordinate scheduled deliveries.
- Manage customer exchanges and handle defective product returns.
- Assign tasks related to wholesale and online orders.
- Design and execute marketing campaigns to reach new markets.


4. Product Research and Development:
- Engage in research and development activities for new products.
- Design and create product labels.
- Experiment with industry-trending products.
- Source suppliers and partners for raw materials.
- Design product packaging.
- Research competitive pricing strategies.
- Develop marketing strategies for product launches.

5. Financial Management:
- Manage and make timely payments for bills.
- Source competitive rates for utilities, product suppliers, and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Make flexible payment arrangements as needed.
- Contact issuers and dispute incorrect balances.


Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent


Language of Work: English


Wage Information: Starting at $28/hour, annual increments, bonus based on performance

 

Hours of Work – 40 per week


Benefits Package: 10 days vacation, health insurance

Skills Requirements:
- Hydroponics product knowledge;
- Botanical and forklift experience;
- Warehouse management experience;
- Product development experience;
- Experience as a nursery or greenhouse supervisor.
- Canadian accounting diploma is preferred; and
- Ability to speak in Vietnamese is preferred.
