Job Description

Position: Metal Fabrication Worker

Position available: 1

Wage: $22 per hour

Work hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Language of Work: English

Work location: Maple Ridge, BC

Superior Dual Laminates (KMT Canada) Ltd. is a nonprofit organization established in 1993 to create a forum for engineers to promote the use of dual laminate equipment, which are composed of a corrosion resistant thermoplastic liner overwrapped with fiberglass reinforcement. Currently, we are looking for a full-time Metal Fabrication Worker to join our team.

• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
• Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
• Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers
• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
• Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Ordering supplies, equipment to do the work, and transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
• Read and interpret work orders
• Checking finish fiberglass products
• Plan and equipment maintenance

• Experience in manufacturing industry is an asset.
• Education: No requirement.
