Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Nanny who can care for our daughter. Ideally, the candidate should enjoy spending time with children and create safe, engaging, and enriching environments. Position Description and Salary

Position: Nanny

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Working hours per week: 40

Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Number of Positions: 1

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: New Westminster BC V3M 6X2

Work setting: Work in employer's home

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Repetitive tasks

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the child's safety and well-being during parents' absences.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding routines, adapting to the child's development.
• Prepare and serve age-appropriate, nutritious meals, focusing on the child's dietary requirements.
• Engage the child in interactive play and communication to teach early hygiene practices.
• Ensure a consistent routine, including nap times, for the child's healthy development.
• Provide a clean, safe, and child-friendly home environment.
• Adapt gentle discipline strategies to the child's age and developmental stage as directed by parents.
• In the future, take the child to and from school, and appointments, and help with homework.
• Provide a loving and supportive presence, fostering emotional well-being and confidence.
• Organize and engage in age-appropriate recreational activities that promote physical and mental development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the child's progress, daily activities, and concerns.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary school.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or completion of the training program in childcare or in a related field.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work responsibly and as part of a family team.
