Job Position: Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC: 73300)
Employer: SimConnect Freight Management
Work Location: 3380 Airway Drive, Unit #17, Mississauga, Ontario
Salary: $ 27.50 to 28.00/Hourly on 35 to 40 hours/week work schedule
Vacancy: One (1)
Terms of employment: Permanent Full-Time
Start date: As soon as possible
Employment conditions: Days Flexible Hours
Languages: English
Education: High School Diploma Required, Provincial/Federal Licenses required
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive long distances to deliver products to various locations
- Follow safety procedures and regulations for commercial vehicles
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after trips
- Report any incidents, accidents, or violations to the appropriate authorities
- Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of products
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and cargo information
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing tires, replacing bulbs, and refueling
Skills & Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with proper endorsements must/required
- Required training will be provided
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain a long-haul truck
- Experience in long-distance driving
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with them
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Physical stamina and ability to spend long hours on the road
- Flexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
