Hong’s family in Vancouver is looking for one Companion to be with the elderly parents.

Job Title: Companion
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time (We can consider Part-time as well as Full-time applicants)
Work Location: (Private Home) Coquitlam, BC V3J 3A3
Wage & benefits: C$23.00/hr based on 36-40hrs/wk, with 4% paid vacation
Overtime: Overtime rate provided after 8hrs/day, and 40hrs/wk
Education: Completion of Secondary School
Experience: Not required, but is an asset

Job duties:
-Accompany the parents to regular exercises, such us walking, swimming, etc
-Drive to and from family doctor’s and specialists’ appointments, and other activity sessions hosted in facilities like the community centre
-Accompany the parents to the required routines, such as grocery shopping to various stores and visiting the pharmacy for medication
-Assist the parents with leisure activities, such as gardening, and driving to and from shopping and senior centres
-May be required to prepare meals, if necessary
-May be required to do light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning.
