Job Description
- Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components, (list out 2-3 services/machineries)
- Prepare project schedules and reports.
- Ensure designs and drawings to validate dimensions, fit, tolerances, quantities, etc. while ensuring compliance with standard practices.
- Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics.
- Assist in designing moulds, tools, dies, fixtures for the manufacturing process and inspect mechanical installations.
- Prepare & maintain documentations for each allotted project.
- Ensuring to resolve manufacturing malfunctions on time avoiding delays.
- Assist in/schedule jobs prior to their release to the floor.
- Be on the forefront of adaptation/implementation of Lean Manufacturing Initiatives;
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment through sharing best practices and expertise.
- Share applicable technical knowledge to improve design & engineering projects and further the knowledge and understanding of mechanical design within the company.
- Prepare standards and schedules, supervise mechanical maintenance programs or operations of mechanical plants, and may sell and service mechanical equipment and systems.
