ISMARTEAM, a professional construction contractor company, is looking for a concrete mason to join our team of professionals to provide quality service to our clients.
As a concrete mason, you will be responsible for finishing poured concrete, applying curing, maintaining, restoring and installing fixtures on concrete in residential and commercial settings. If you have a strong attention to detail and take pride in your work, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
-Smooth freshly poured concrete
-Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
-Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications
-Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
-Install fixtures in freshly poured concrete
-Apply curing and sealing compounds to concrete surface
-Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces
-Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures.
Requirements:
- Have Red Seal certification or is willing to take Red Seal Examination for tile setter trade
- Proven experience as a concrete mason or similar role
- Strong knowledge of concrete setting and finishing techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and precision
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
