Job Title: Department Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent

Language: English

Compensation: $21.00 per hour, 30 - 44 hours per week, 4% vacation pay.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
• Assign sales workers to duties
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Sell merchandise
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
• Manage cash

Job Requirements: 

• Completion of Bachelor's Degree is required
• At least 3 years of experience in retail grocery sales, including previous supervisory experience required
• Extensive knowledge of a broad range of health food products and how they affect customers
• Previous experience providing personalized dietary advice to customers with regard to products adhering to specific diets including vegan, keto, paleo, and vegetarian
• Previous experience using a Catapult POS system, including processing orders and programming prices and sales
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask
