Duration:                                             Permanent, Full-Time (will also consider part time workers)

Hours:                                                   35-40 hrs/week

Salary:                                                   $27.50/hr

Overtime:                                            As per prov standards - $41.25 after 8hrs/day, 40hrs/wk

Education:                                           College, CEGEP or other non-university 1-2-year certificate/diploma

Experience:                                         1 to less than 2 years of experience in a related field

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile financial transactions for the department, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budget preparation by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
• Monitor departmental expenses and ensure they are within budget limits.
• Work with other departments to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
• Prepare and file tax returns and other financial reports as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
