General Construction Labourer (NOC 75110)

Position name:                 General Construction Labourer

Number of vacancies:     Two(2)

Location of work:             2810 Norland Ave, Burnaby, BC, Canada and across the Lower Mainland

Nature of position:          Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Wage:                                   $28.00 per hour

Vacation:                             4% in lieu of paid vacation days

Language required:         English, spoken and written

Other benefits:                 Extended medical

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:

• Suspended slab stripping experience
• Under supervision of concrete finishers,
• Read/understand reshoring drawings
• Basic cement finishing
• Vibrating/consolidation cast in place concrete.
• Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
• Assist tradespeople by performing other activities at construction sites, as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of secondary school

• Some experience as a general construction labourer would be an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
• Have a strong work ethic and good management skills.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
