Mr. Woodpecker Paintings located in Surrey, B.C. is hiring for a permanent full-time Construction Painter to assist with our growing business.
We offer: C$26.00/ hour (30-40hrs/week) with 4% paid vacation. Overtime will be calculated after 40hrs.
Work location: Various Locations throughout Lower Mainland, BC.

Job requirement:
- Completion of secondary school.
- Previous work experience is an asset.
- Must be able to work on scaffolding and ladders safely.
- Not afraid of height.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the instructions and specifications to estimate the quantities of materials.
- Remove old wallpaper and paint; repair cracks and holes in walls by using filler and mudding.
- Prepare, clean surfaces for painting by power washing surfaces, scraping, sanding, and sandblasting.
- Do primer filler and sand wall surfaces.
- Confirm the paint color we received from supplier.
- Apply paint on the required area using brushes, rollers or other spray equipment.
- Occasionally do painting using oil stain for certain areas.
- Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls.
- Put up and take apart scaffolding, ladders, ramps, and barricades.
- May present the options of colour schemes to customers or help them to choose suitable color in walls.
- Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint.
- Collaborate with other professional painters on larger jobs.
- May provide cost estimates to clients.
