Job Description and Responsibilities:

As a member of the Landscape Construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of Landscape Construction and Renovation projects. Together, with a team of hard-working, passionate individuals you will be supported by a Foreperson to train and develop your skills. You also will have the opportunity to become an apprentice and to get Red Seal certified in Landscape Installation.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Landscape Construction Foreperson in managing safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/ or shop/yard
• Landscape Installations and Renovations– Hardscape, Softscape, Lighting, Carpentry, Synthetic Turf, Snow and Ice Management
• Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, cut off saws, tampers, jackhammers, excavators, skid steers, track loaders and power tools
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscape installation environments, shop and equipment
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
• Comply with all company policies and regulations

Skills Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in landscape construction or carpentry
• Landscape knowledge and experience in Construction or Carpentry Practice's
• Competent in the use of power tools (Cut-off saws, Tampers, Jackhammers, Power equipment, blowers etc.)
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various Landscape Construction and Carpentry practices
• Physically fit with strong stamina
• Ability to follow safe and working procedures
• Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
• Speak, read, and write English
• Valid drivers license
• Must be willing to travel to different job sites around the Lower Mainland

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
