Job Description

Full-time Retail Sales Manager – 1427176 B.C. Ltd. DBA Island Home Furniture

Location: 1612 Northfield Rd, Nanaimo, BC
Position: Retail Sales Manager
Pay: $41 per hour, with overtime and benefits
Job Type: Permanent, full-time (35-40 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

We’re looking for a motivated Retail Sales Manager to join our team at Island Home Furniture. You’ll lead the sales floor, support the staff, and make sure our customers leave happy. If you have retail experience and love helping people, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
• Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
• Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
• Determine staffing requirements
• Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
• Develop and implement marketing strategies
• Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
• Implement price and credits policies
• Determine merchandise and services to be sold
• Manage staff and assign duties

Required Skills:

• High School 
• At least 1-2 years of retail management experience
• Fluent in English
