Job Description

Position Summary: 

Skobi is looking for 1 Sushi Chef to join its team. 

Job Details: 

Location: #105 - 19933 88 Avenue, Langley, BC V2Y 4K5

Salary: $36.60 hourly, 30 to 40 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent employment, Full-time

Employment Conditions: Day, Evening, Morning  

Requirements: Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements: 

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate 

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years 

On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities: 

Tasks: 

• Create new recipes
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
• Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Address customers' complaints or concerns

Credentials: 

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate

Experience and specialization: 

Cuisine specialties: Sushi preparation techniques, Japanese cuisine

Additional Information: 

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods
