Job Description

Vacancy: Administrative Officer

Salary: $36.60 hourly

Hours: 30 to 40 per week

Language: English

Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience

Education: completion of secondary school

Start Date: as soon as possible

Duties:

• Coordinate and implement administrative procedures and office operations to support lumber manufacturing, sales, and logistics activities.

• Review, evaluate, and improve administrative systems, including filing, document control, and information management.

• Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed

• Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, contracts, and internal documents.

• Maintain accurate records related to purchasing, shipping, inventory documentation, and supplier communications.

• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

• Coordinate office services such as equipment maintenance, office supplies, mail distribution, and facilities support.

• Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure smooth administrative operations.

• Assist management with policy implementation, workflow coordination, and compliance documentation.

• Monitor and track administrative budgets and expenditure; prepare basic cost summaries and reports.

• Support human resources administration by maintaining employee records, training documentation, and onboarding paperwork (non-payroll).

• Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of company and employee information.
