Work location: On site

Salary: 36.75 hourly / 35 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty

Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Work setting: Construction, Various locations, Renovation, Commercial, Residential

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
