Job Description

Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100)

The Gill family is seeking a Full-Time, Permanent Home Child Care Provider to care for our children in a private household.

Job Title: Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100)
Location: 7942 115A Street, Delta, BC, V4C 5R3
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

Wages: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary
Accommodation: Accommodation is available, if required

Job Duties:

• Supervise and care for the child in the absence of parents
• Bathe, dress, and feed the child
• Prepare meals for the child according to parents’ instructions
• Oversee daily activities such as meals, playtime, and rest periods
• Assist with the child’s personal hygiene and social development
• Discipline the child according to methods requested by the parents
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing home environment
• Take the child to and from school, appointments, to nearby parks and activities
• Provide age-appropriate educational activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings
• Support the emotional well-being of the child and encourage positive social development

Personal Skills:

• Reliable, trustworthy, warm, and calm
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Energetic and comfortable working with children
• Flexible schedule with availability for morning and daytime shifts

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school
• Experience: Childcare experience is an asset
• Language: English
• Certificates: CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
• Security and Safety: Medical examination required
