We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to transport goods and materials efficiently and in compliance with all safety regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating straight or articulated trucks, maintaining vehicle condition, handling cargo securely, and communicating effectively with dispatch

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely to designated locations
• Load and unload goods and shipments, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
• Tarp cargo and ensure the safety and security of all loads during transit
• Transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with applicable regulations (when required)
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage units, and other equipment to ensure optimal vehicle condition
• Perform brake adjustments and minor preventive maintenance
• Carry out emergency roadside repairs when necessary
• Complete routine vehicle inspections and submit reports for required maintenance or repairs
• Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch regarding routes, delays, or issues
• Pay and receive payments for goods when required

Key Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver’s license Class AZ class license
• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate
• Proven experience as a truck driver preferred
• Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and preventive maintenance
• Ability to perform physical tasks including loading, unloading, and tarping
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to handle emergency roadside situations calmly and effectively
• Good communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions
• Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety
• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Security and safety

• Criminal record check & Drug test
• Driving record check (abstract)

Education:                                          Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work Experience:                               1 to 2 years of trucking experience

Credentials:                                        AZ class license, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Language:                                             English
