Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $37.50 per hour

Start date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Various work Locations in Abbotsford and other Lower Mainland (BC) areas as per company’s contracts with its clients

Job duties: 

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or welding process specifications.
• Take measurements and plan welding layout and procedures.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various welding processes.
• Weld metal components together for gates, railings, and fences (such as chain link, metal, and aluminum fences etc.) using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws

Position Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the   trade.
• Ability to communicate in English.
