Job Description

AGI Transport is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee and manage daily transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgets, and optimizing transportation efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and managing the operations of the transportation department.
• Coordinate schedules and assign tasks to drivers and logistics staff.
• Monitor transportation costs and recommend budget adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Manage the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to optimize logistics.
• Supervise staff performance and provide training to improve productivity.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to resolve delivery issues.
• Analyze transportation metrics and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

• College/CEGEP diploma

• 1–2 years of relevant transportation or logistics experience

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards

• Ability to work flexible hours (early morning, evenings, weekends, on-call)
