Finance Technician

Position available: 1

Employer: Scott Road

Job Location: Unit 105, 7130 120 Street, Surrey, BC V3W 3M8

Salary: $36.60 hourly

Hours: 30 to 35 per week

Language: English

Education and experience: Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field OR High School with minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Terms of employment: full time/permanent

Job Duties:

• Maintain and update financial records using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

• Post journal entries and maintain general ledgers.

• Reconcile banks, credit cards, and other accounts and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare trial balances and assist in the preparation of financial statements.

• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

• Calculate and prepare payroll cheques, including statutory deductions and remittances.

• Prepare and issue cheques for expenses, utilities, taxes, and vendor payments.

• Prepare tax returns and related government filings as required.

• Compile statistical, financial, and accounting reports for management review.
