Job Description

Home Child Care Provider (Nanny)

Location: North Vancouver, BC V7P 2A7
Workplace information: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
Start date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 1

Job duties:

• Supervise and care for child in employer’s private residence
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Assist with daily routines including dressing, hygiene, and meals
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
• Support child’s emotional well-being and development
• Organize activities such as games, reading, and outdoor play
• Follow parents’ instructions and established routines
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to childcare

Employment requirements:

• Secondary school completion required
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Previous childcare experience required
• Experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or developmental needs is a strong asset
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and strong caregiving skills
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
• English language ability required

Work setting:

• Employer’s private residence
• Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis
