Minimum Education:A university degree in civil engineering or a college diploma in construction technology
NOC Group: Construction Manager (NOC: 70010)
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience.
Tasks:
Plan, organize, and oversee construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met
Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and sequencing of work across different phases of construction
Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure work is carried out according to design requirements and applicable standards
Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement measures to control expenditures and optimize resource use
Supervise site operations and ensure that construction activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by enforcing safety procedures and conducting regular site inspections
Review and approve work completed by subcontractors and ensure quality standards are consistently met
Participate in procurement processes, including selecting subcontractors, reviewing bids, and negotiating contracts
Maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and records related to construction activities
Provide leadership and direction to site personnel, including assigning responsibilities and evaluating performance
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to provide updates and ensure project requirements are fulfilled
