Job Description

Food for Good (FFG) is seeking a reliable, motivated, and consistent Delivery Driver to transport food from our vendor partners to organizations and events across the Greater Toronto Area. (Field person doing deliveries job title needs to be revised)

The role is responsible for ensuring timely, safe, and professional food delivery to clients throughout the GTA and surrounding areas, supporting FFG’s mission of improving food services within the community.

 



Key Responsibilities & Duties

 

  • Pick up food orders from designated vendor locations

  • Set up food and materials for events as required

  • Communicate professionally with staff, vendors, and clients

  • Perform basic food quality checks prior to delivery

  • Provide support to clients during deliveries and events as needed

  • Safely transport and deliver food to assigned locations across the GTA

  • Ensure timely delivery according to the daily schedule

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle

  • Follow all food safety and handling standards

  • Track deliveries and confirm successful drop-offs

  • Report any delays, issues, or vehicle concerns promptly

  • Load and unload food items safely and properly

  • Maintain accurate mileage logs for gas reimbursement

 

 


 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s License

  • Clean driving record

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check may be required

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

 

 


 

Technical / Hard Skills

  • Safe and responsible driving practices

  • Proficiency with navigation tools (Google Maps, Apple Maps, GPS)

  • Time management and route planning skills

  • Accurate record-keeping for mileage, fuel, and deliveries

  • Professional and effective communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports directly to the Operations Manager

 

 


 

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18-20 per hour depending on their experience

  • Mileage-based gas reimbursement

  • Operating hours between 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Schedule varies)

  • 1-hour unpaid lunch break in accordance with employment standards
