Hours of Work  Daytime  Full time

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead the HVAC installation on new construction school projects from the early stages through to completion.
• Be able to coordinate crews and subcontractors, interpreting drawings and specifications, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects stay on schedule.

Qualifications

•             15+ years experience in commercial HVAC or sheet metal installation

•             Journeyperson Sheet Metal Certification with Red Seal or Equivalent

•             Extensive foreman or supervisory experience managing crews and subcontractors

•             Proven experience delivering projects across large-scale commercial settings

•             Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications

•             Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and handle heavy materials

•             Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

Supervisory Skills

•             Lead and install commercial HVAC duct systems and ventilation components

•             Coordinate and oversee multiple subcontractors and installation crews

•             Interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate and efficient installations

•             Ensure all installations meet industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications

•             Maintain high standards of site safety, organization, and quality control

•             Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors

•             Support the development and mentoring of younger tradespeople on site

Experience or certification would be an asset in:

•             Fall Arrest

•             Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) or Scissor lift

•             First Aid/CPR

•             Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
