Job Description

Required Carpenter (TEER 72310)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Read and interpret blueprints and layouts to determine project requirements and material needs.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements.
• Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
• Install finishing elements including doors, stairs, mouldings, and trim, along with required hardware.

Requirements and skills

Education and Experience: Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of industry courses or 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Language: English

Salary: CAD $36.10/hour. Full-time permanent position at BBS Masonry Precast Design and Fabrication, 25 Roybridge Gate Vaughan, Ontario, L4H 0J2.
