Job Description
Salary: Ranging from $28.10 to $36.00 per hour for 36 - 44 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent
Experience: 3 years or less than 5 years
Education: No degree, certificate or deploma
Location: 131 King Street, St Catharines, ON
Job Duties:
- Check and monitor inventory, including managing the safe storage and preparation of food items, as well as ensuring that inventory is stocked according to planned menus.
- Secure contracts with food providers for deliveries and guaranteed in-stock items, as well as fresh foods.
- Monitor the quality of all food and beverages.
- Track, record, and maintain inventory stock, including food, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
- Manage fresh and frozen meat usage and review inventory by shelf life.
- Be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of daily meat usage.
- Keep track of deliveries of raw materials and communicate with the team in a timely manner.
- Run weekly production requirements for raw materials based on production plans.
- Communicate closely with the procurement team to ensure plant requirements are met by adjusting raw material orders as needed.
- Manages tempering of raw materials.
- Investigates any formulation loss of materials and implements corrective actions.
- Maximizes usage of frozen raw materials in formulations where permissible and pre-blends when cost-effective.
