Job Description

Sicamous Investments Ltd, located at 517 Main Street, Sicamous, BC, V0E 2V0, is currently seeking two full-time, permanent Light Duty Cleaners. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is looking to grow with a reputable organization in Sicamous, British Columbia.

Job Duties

• Sweep, mop, wash, wax, and polish floors in guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture in guest suites and public spaces.
• Make beds, change linens, and restock rooms with clean towels, toiletries, and other amenities.
• Respond promptly to guests’ requests for additional supplies or housekeeping services.
• Maintain and stock housekeeping carts, linen closets, and supply rooms to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Clean and disinfect kitchenettes and bathrooms in guest suites, including sinks, toilets, showers, and appliances.
• Sanitize and polish high-touch surfaces and fixtures in public areas such as elevators, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Pick up debris, empty trash containers, and remove waste from guest rooms and common areas.
• Wash windows, walls, mirrors, and ceilings as scheduled or required.
• Report and log lost and found items in accordance with hotel policy and ensure secure storage.
• Provide basic information to guests about hotel facilities and services when needed.
• Communicate guest concerns or complaints to the appropriate department for resolution.

Employment requirements

• Completion of senior secondary education is considered an asset.
• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Benefits

As per BC Employment Standards Act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose).
