Job Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth workflow and a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
  • Perform essential retail tasks as required, including cashiering, assisting customers on the floor, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, and managing inventory.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support store staff, prepare schedules, assign duties, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all provincial and federal regulations governing the sale of age-restricted products, including ID verification.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service by addressing customer needs, providing product knowledge, and resolving concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels across all product lines, vape products, snacks, and apparel, by ordering, receiving, organizing, and rotating stock as needed.
  • Source new products in alignment with current market trends, negotiate pricing with vendors, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, daily cash outs, deposits, financial reporting, and basic budgeting to ensure financial accuracy and control.
  • Develop and implement basic marketing strategies, including instore promotions and social media initiatives, to enhance customer engagement and increase sales.
  • Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to recommend improvements to product offerings and store operations.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including sales reports, compliance logs, and shift notes, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the store maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times.

 

Qualification & Requirements

 

  • Completion of secondary education.
  • Education in business or a related field would be an asset.
  • Minimum one years of relevant supervisory, leadership, or managerial experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining visual store standards.
  • Flexibility to perform various operational tasks and step in as needed, including cashier duties.
  • Ability to handle key holding responsibilities, including opening and closing the store.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to implement marketing strategies effectively.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
