We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store while maintaining high standards of customer service. You will support daily operations, assist customers, help manage inventory, and work closely with the team to ensure service excellence at all times. Job Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth workflow, strong sales performance, and a high level of customer service
  • Lead, coach, and support staff by assigning duties, setting expectations, and guiding the team to achieve sales and service goals
  • Train and coach team members on effective sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling of mobile devices, accessories, and service plans
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze results, and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and overall store productivity
  • Stay informed on customer buying patterns, local market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and adjust sales strategies
  • Plan and adjust product offerings, promotions, and service approaches based on customer demand and business needs
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage inventory and ensure consistent product availability
  • Develop and execute in-store and local marketing initiatives to increase customer traffic and drive revenue growth
  • Track daily sales, assist in budgeting, authorize routine expenditures, and monitor store performance against financial targets
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, reporting, and store security
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock checks, and minimize inventory loss or shrinkage
  • Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation align with brand standards and current promotions
  • Handle customer concerns and escalations professionally, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of staff to maintain a reliable and productive team
  • Promote a positive work environment through clear communication, accountability, and teamwork
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and workplace health and safety standards
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the smooth and efficient operation of the assigned store location

 

Qualification & Requirements

 

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in retail or wholesale sales.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role is preferred.
  • A college diploma or university degree in business, retail management, or a related field is an asset.
  • Good understanding of mobile devices, wireless plans, and retail sales practices is an asset.
  • Ability to understand customer buying patterns, local market trends, and competitor activity to support sales decisions.
  • Ability to lead and support a team, meet sales targets, and deliver strong customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment and managing multiple tasks.
  • Flexible working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially when handling inventory and day-to-day store operations.
