Job Title: Roofer Helper
Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, full-time, permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $27.00-$29.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Job Duties:
• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread the materials
• Assist tradespersons such as roofers and carpenters in construction activities
• Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Assist in carrying heavy equipment
• Help roofers to do layout
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education: No formal education required.
Experience: No formal experience required.
***Experience working on construction sites would be considered an asset.
Language: Basic English
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, physically demanding, require handling heavy loads, requires lifting, Pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects, Standing for long period of time
Personal Suitability:
• Ability to work in confined spaces, as well as high height levels.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to be mobile and willing to travel to various job sites within the lower mainland and Fraser Valley
