
We are seeking a full-time, permanent Project Engineer to join our Edmonton, AB team. The engineer should be a licensed Professional Engineer (P-Eng) in Canada with minimum 7 years power utility experience in transmission and/or distribution design. Lead complex distribution projects, authenticate engineering designs, and mentor the next generation of engineers. Shape the infrastructure that powers communities and lead innovation and engineering excellence at Utilitek.
As our Project Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our distribution engineering practice. You will lead the design, authentication, and delivery of complex overhead and underground distribution projects while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with mentorship responsibilities, guiding junior engineers and technologists while collaborating across disciplines to deliver exceptional results. You will translate client objectives into robust engineering packages, perform advanced load-flow and short-circuit studies, authenticate IFC drawings, and lead cross-functional design reviews.
Extensive design experience in overhead and underground line distribution system up to 25kV. Your responsibilities typically include the following:
