Position Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Location: Dundas Manor, 533 Clarence St, Winchester, ON, K0C 2K0
Job Type: Full-Time, permanent, at least 32 hours per week
Hourly Wage: We offer a range between $25.07 and $28.66 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

Dundas Manor is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our care team. The successful candidate will provide quality, safe, and resident-focused care while supporting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents in a long-term care environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, lifting, transferring, and mobility
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents
  • Document care provided in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and common areas
  • Answer call bells and respond promptly to resident needs
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Support meal service and nourishment assistance
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to registered staff
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures
  • Participate in resident activities and assist residents to programs
  • Attend required education and training sessions
  • Promote a respectful, compassionate, and safe environment for residents, families, and staff

 

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience is required
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate required
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physically capable of meeting the demands of the position
  • Flexible with the schedule

 

Benefits:

 

After probation, the employee will have access to the Group Health Benefit Plan.  The cost of the associated premiums will be split on a 75%/25% ratio (Employer 75%/Employee 25%). This includes options for medical, dental, vision, and travel coverage, as well as accidental death, and short term disability.

 

After 970 hours, the employee will be enrolled with our pension plan through Nursing Home and Related Industries Pension Plan and may contribute 4% of your earnings, which will be matched by Dundas Manor Ltd.
